Sponsor A Child In South Africa
The Value of Sponsoring a Child
If a child’s basic needs are not met, they cannot focus on anything else and we cannot expect them to develop beyond these limitations. It is for this reason that we need to support the individual needs of the children within our program.
Our sponsor a child project is aimed at allowing those children within our programs to be able to compete and develop on a level playing field with their privileged counterparts by providing support for them in all of the main areas they need to assist their schooling and holistic development.
The Cost of Sponsoring a Child
You can sponsor a child by donating just £10 per month. Within the United Through Sport South Africa programs there are three different levels where children need your support:
1) Mass Participation – these children receive basic sports coaching and life skills through sport development for a three month period, for a total cost of £10 per child.
2) Junior School of Excellence – these children receive high level sports coaching, extra academic support, life-skills classes and personal mentoring as well as a meal everyday and support with school fees, uniform and books for one year, for a total cost of £650 per child per year.
3) Senior School of Excellence – these children receive top academic education from one of the best schools in Nelson Mandela Bay, top sports coaching, extra academic support, school fees, school uniform, books, a meal everyday and transport to and from school, for a total cost of £3000 per child per year.
By becoming a member of United Through Sport and donating just £10 per month you can choose for 100% of your contribution to go to any of the above programs to help change a child’s life through sport and education today.
